Used beverage containers are among the most recycled materials in the US. Recycling of used beverage containers not only can reduce the natural resources consumption but also makes economical sense since they also have raw material value. Below are some facts of beverage container recycling

• According to statistics, around 1,500 aluminum cans are recycled every second in US. Recycling used beverage containers
• If we recycled the 48 billion aluminum cans that we throw away each year, we could save the equivalent of 24 million barrels of oil.
• The energy saved from recycling one aluminum can will run your TV for 3 hours.
• It takes two plastic soft drink bottles to make enough polyester fiber for a baseball cap.
• For every ton of glass recycled, over a ton of raw materials are saved, including 1,300 pounds of sand, 410 pounds of soda ash, 380 pounds of limestone, and 160 pounds of feldspar.
• Recycling glass lowers the melting temperature and saves 32% of the energy needed for production of new glass.

• Buyback from General Public at GRM’s Recycling Centers
  General Public can bring their used beverage containers to GRM’s two buy back centers located at 12345 Slauson Ave. Whittier, CA 90606 and 906 Schley Ave. Wilmington, CA 90745
• School Recycle-for-Fund Program
  GRM works with schools and colleges to set up On-Campus Recycling Programs by providing recycle bins and transportation. Schools can raise funds from the redemption value that GRM compensates.
• Business, Organization, and Community Recycling Program
  GRM works with businesses, management office of corporate centers and buildings, and apartment complex, to set up recycling programs by providing recycle bins and transportation. GRM will also share the redemption value.
